Dr Lavan Baskaran is an accomplished NHS physician with 18 years of distinguished service and over a decade of experience as a GP Senior Partner. Leading two thriving practices in South West London, he oversees the care of 20,000 patients while maintaining specialised expertise in multiple fields, including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, ENT, minor surgery, transgender healthcare, ADHD and sleep medicine.

As Medical Director across fifty practices for the Croydon GP Federation, Dr Baskaran serves as Digital Lead while providing strategic leadership and healthcare innovation. He is a respected national speaker on cardiometabolic health and lifestyle medicine, regularly presenting for leading pharmaceutical companies.

In medical education, Dr Baskaran holds a prominent position as Senior Clinical Lecturer at Learna, an online postgraduate university, and hosts medical students from all five London medical schools. Currently, Dr Baskaran is the co-founder of Cinnamon Healthcare, operating his private ADHD, weight loss and cardiometabolic clinics and general medicine across Harley Street and Surrey, while pursuing his passion for global healthcare advancement. He leads transformative early childhood development and education initiatives in Kenya and Uganda, with plans to expand to Zambia and Ghana.

Dr Tim Mercer is a GP Partner based in Wirral with a specialist interest in insomnia, migraine, and what he calls “the heartsink feeling.” He believes sleep is relevant to every condition and has developed practical methods for delivering cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) in general practice, alongside careful use of pharmacotherapy. Tim is known for his sincere, patient-centred approach and passion for general practice. Patients describe him as someone who “listens sincerely” and “goes above and beyond” (PSQ, 2025).

He loves his job, his patients, and helping others to love theirs too.

Dr Zoe Schaedel is an NHS GP and menopause specialist with a special interest in both sleep medicine and women’s health.

Dr Schaedel lectures widely on the topic of sleep and has taught on the International Sleep Medicine Course. She sits on the British Sleep Society Education Committee and the British Menopause Society (BMS) Medical Advisory Committee.

Dr Schaedel is the co-founder of The Good Sleep Clinic, which specialises in non-pharmacological treatment of insomnia, and is the co-director of Myla Health, a private women’s health clinic. Dr Schaedel has published articles on the topics of menopause and sleep in the Lancet and Post Reproductive Health and has featured in publications including The Guardian, The Daily Express, Grazia, Stylist and Good Housekeeping.
